YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW IN THIS LIFE

Some people say to me that they hate their jobs, hate their lives, hate their friends, can’t afford to pay their bills, their wives/husbands are mean to them, the kids are playing up etc. etc…. No one is immune to life’s challenges, we all go through this in life. I do get it!

Some people struggle all their lives and never seek God out. But perhaps they don’t realize that during those moments when we struggle, we need God more.

Some people I’ve met, think that they are all in control and they can do it all. How wrong could they be? We have limited knowledge and power, God has infinite knowledge and power. God gave us His Son Jesus to help us fight battles in our lives through the cross, so why wouldn’t you take the lead?

But one cannot expect things to change without us first making changes in our lives. God is not going to change, but through prayer God will help align His will with our will. God will help us change and cope better with difficulties that we may find in life. God will give us the strength to cope, grow and change. God may also grant you favours and a miracle if it’s part of His plan.

In saying that, God doesn’t want us to suffer, He wants us to stay close to Him, persevere and be steadfast and He will clear the path for us.

If God can build mountains, create the heavens and the earth, part the Red Sea, make the Sun shine on a daily basis, surely He can help us.

Recently a friend developed a sore knee, he had to walk on crutches, it was getting worse and it was so badly swollen that the doctors said that there could be muscle and nerve damage, that if the swelling didn’t come down soon, they would have to operate. On a another visit the nurse asked him if he believed in Jesus. My friend said YES, he did! The nurse prayed over him in the name of Jesus Christ and after a day the swelling came down without any intervention. The doctors couldn’t believe it and said other cases never turned out like this, they were astonished!!!!! This morning my husband saw him and he looked as if nothing had ever happened, now this is a matter of a week from the time is first happened to full recovery.

Evil as a result of sins we have committed or sins our family and friends have committed against us, can manifest in us in a physical way, sin can affect our physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. So forgiveness and repentance is needed also (see older posts under HEALING).

The problem is that our perspective is limited.

  • God is infinite, we are finite.
  • God sees the whole, we see only the part.
  • God’s ways aren’t our ways. Is. 55:8-9 “for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
  • God in His wisdom allows sorrow to come into our lives and we must remember that His plan is best.                              Here’s the evidence
  • Psalm 46:1

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

    Psalm 68:6

“God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.”

    Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

    Matthew 7:7

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

     Hebrews 4:15-16

“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

    Hebrews 13:5-6

“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we may boldly say: ‘The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’”

So going back to the heading…….”You reap what you sow in this life, ” I mean that if you don’t have faith then healing can’t happen, if there is no prayer and staying close to Jesus then it means you don’t care for Jesus’power in your life, if you don’t live out your faith and do good works for God then you are not a follower but a fan. My friend is not exclusive, the healing power of God is available to all.
