review 1: "Spellcast" is EXCELLENT. I recommend it very highly indeed. It's not a quick read; it's not the sort of punching-out kind of UF; and even though it has some really funny moments, I don't think I'd consider it a light read. The characters, I thought were very REAL and made a lot of sense (at least as things unfolded), the plot was complicated but no one seemed to be behaving at random, and the setting was perfect. The only slight drawback is that I had snippets of music from "Brigadoon" and "Carousel" going through my head while I was reading it- and since I don't know any of the songs from either totally, the snippets were a bit annoying after a while! That's pretty minor, though, and it's honestly one of the best books I've read for quite a while.

... morehanks for the win! Can't wait to crack into this one! Wow! What a quick read. I got so wrapped up in the characters and the story the whole book whizzed by. Truly a story to get lost in. I loved it! It's a love story but, not too sappy. A theater story without being theatrical about it, it was just right. I would suggest this book to my friends. I will pass this one on so others can be amazed by the story. Bravo! less

Interesting, but not a life changing experience. I would read more by this author.

the book kept my attention throughout. A faced paced and entertaining venture.

A light bit of fluff, to be read on the run
