review 1: I liked:Harper's young, outgoing personality; she's flamboyant.Harper's outspoken, Chicago style head on approach to many situations Bella wasn't just a kid that was resenting someone else new in her life (which can be used a lot in stories. It can be true but I liked this approach. The unusual problem that Bella lived with and that it wasn't solved overnight. There were so many things that people tried that didn't work. Made it more real. The asthma angle to the story. Cameron had more to him than what you originally think, so different than you first see. He's not really all stuffy and stiff.Harper has such a tightknit loving family; those memories are included. McKenna (Harper's sister) Adam (Harper's friend and ally)her ex Billy, telling her she never finishes an... moreything, it helped her in the long runOkay, that said, the part that I had a bit of a problem with was in the beginning. This is my own personal issue, I think. But when it started out with Harper and her entrance at the Bachelor party. I found it cringeworthy. And I had to put the book down and come back to it. I thought , oh please, don't let the whole book be full of these kinds of things". Whew, it wasn't, I kept reading and yes, Harper got herself in trouble of course but she was so likeable and I WASN'T cringing all through the book like I feared. I really had no problem with the ending of the book although some of the reviewers have said that it felt it was too rushed. Some parts of the book were somewhat predictable while others weren't. Still I did enjoy it. “I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review”.
review 2: Harper Kirkpatrick is in desperate need of money now since her ex boyfriend Billy left her. Harper poses as a stripper but can't strip to save her live while Mr. Blue Eyes is watching. Cameron Bennett needs a new nanny and when Harper applies for the position is impressed by her grace. Cameron's daughter Bella does nothing by eat baby cereal and is seriously underweight for her age. Harper's heart just breaks to watch Bella and is determined to help this little girl. Harper asks Cameron to have sit down dinners with Bella. Cameron will do anything for his daughter. Can Harper help Bella? Will Cameron admit his attraction to Harper? Your answers await you in Finding Southern Comfort.I really liked this story. Bella just tore my heart out upon meeting her. Cameron is a hunky alpha male trapped with a horrible girlfriend while secretly lusting after Harper. Harper has spunk and character. I'm definitely going back to read the rest of this series. less
