review 1: I love country romances...but wow to this one...to have a cowboy starting out in the book in a wheelchair that is something different. You never read in a book about the cowboy being paralyzed..this time you will. Kit has anger and it has reason....Kelly, (I just adored) stood up to him and pushed him...would love to read more about his surgery and rehab with Kelly...and how she stood beside him during this time. If you want a good read about a hurt cowboy and Kelly (a children's author) then this is the book for you. I guess I related to some of it as a I lived with a paralyzed person in the house. This book was right on about a lot of things and emotions that the injured person goes through. Kudos to Barbara.
review 2: I liked this book - it was a quick r... moreead. The hero was so worried that the injuries he sustained in his rodeo accident were too severe for him to ever be with another woman. His ex did a real number on him - telling him how hideous his scars & injuries were. The heroine was great - the thing she wanted the most in the world was a family. Her mother was a single parent who died young, so she ended up in foster care. She moved to the hero's small town from San Francisco to try to find somewhere she belonged. I enjoyed reading about how she convinced the hero that he was the perfect man for her - just the way he was. less
