review 1: I liked the book. It is about a wife whose husband, Nick and daughter, Lindsey are presumed dead in the raging flood when they had set out on a camping trip. Abby, the wife tries to find answers to their disappearance. It ends up that he had a mistress briefly who turned into a "fatal attraction". The mistress, Sondra basically started following him and forced him off the road. She claims to have "loved" him but if she did, why didn't she report the accident and try to help him and his daughter? That left me puzzled.
review 2: This was the most un-thrilling thriller I have ever read. The first and last 25 pages were good but everything in between was fairly boring. Not much happens except for her grieving the loss of her husband and daughter. Plot twists
... more don't get going until two thirds the way into the book. If the author wanted to portray what it is like to grieve the loss of loved ones and what a long and arduous obsessive process it is, she succeeded. However in my view she did not write a very good mystery-thriller. Even the ultimate who dunnit conclusion was rather lame. less

very Jodi Pico like. Not bad for a book that I bought on a whim at the grocery store.
