review 1: This book was really good. I bought it as a compilation book set called the Sweet Life. I have never read Bella Andre all though I have some of her books on my TBR shelf. Now I will rush to buy more of her books. Even thought I started midway of the Sullivan's I didn't feel left out at all. I will however go out and buy all the first 3 books now :) Sophie wanted to finally break out of her "nice" nickname and show her brothers and a certain gentleman that she was all woman and not a child. She definitely succeeds in showing Jake that she is all woman. But of course his guilt at not being good enough for her leads him to "run away" when different circumstances throw them together again he has to prove that he is the right man for her. The chemistry was so wonderful... more between these characters. Especially how Jake tries to treat Sophie like a kid sister since he grew up around her. Such a sweet story.
review 2: A couple years ago I tried a couple romance novels and they just weren’t for me. Then I saw this book and I loved the cover so I decided give them another chance. Boy am I glad. I loved this book. It had everything that I was looking for in a good book. You meet Sophie and all Sophie wants is Jake, the friend of the family that owns a chain of bars and is doing readily well for himself. And what does Jake want…. Sophie but he is trying to hide it. But after a one night stand the night of her brother’s wedding Sophie ends up pregnant and scared. But Jake takes care of her in many ways that she can’t even imagine. Not only does Bella Andre give you the great world of the Sullivans, she give you the great big world of a LIBRARIAN that lives in San Francisco! That is right Sophie is a librarian…. You need to watch out for those librarians. They can be frisky….Bella Andre did an amazing job of bring Sophie’s world alive. You meet so many great characters that have their own thing going on and she just keeps it real and on track with where the story needs to go. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next Bella Andre book! I am going to read all of the Sullivan series and I already know I am going to love it. less
