review 1: Only parts of this thriller thrilled me. The problem was that I couldn't believe in the story or the characters. For example, I don't trust the U.S. government or its employees to save me from the boogeyman, as books like this tell me to. Other aspects of the story also tried my ability to suspend disbelief. Still, the characters were entertaining at times, even occasionally funny. The authors drew me into some of the settings well, if not all. The book ends making it clear that a sequel will follow. I may or may not read it. In the mean time, this book was not all bad and I certainly have read worse.
review 2: The story follows three members of the B A U in their search for Humpty Dumpty who is leaving body parts all over the USA.All three team member... mores seem to have interesting back stories which, I hope will be explored in future books. I didn't find the book as gruesome as I expected (no bad thing) and nor was it as funny as other reviews led me to believe but I really did enjoy it and am looking forward to reading more in the series. less
