review 1: Very insightful business book about what it's like to build a startup tech company. Horowitz has some really good, unvarnished insights into how hard and ambiguous it all is. Great read if you've ever thought about starting a tech company. Great insights as well into being a CEO. The focus of the book is on a tech/software company, so much of it is focused on software, testing, working with developers, etc. Some of that wouldn't translate as well to a non-tech startup.

... morethe strength and fortitude required for the heavy lifting of getting a company up and running. An inspiring read, the kind that requires a pencil to make notes in the margins. Best business book since Andy Grove's High Output Management. less
