review 1: A quick read, as giddy and dizzying as the industry which spawned it: online poker, with its meteoric rise and fast crash. These guys were given a raw deal (pun intended) as poker was never meant to be part of the anti-gambling laws that swept it up, and Brent, the guy who took the fall for the rest of his buddies (and family) was less caught up in things than everyone else. But it makes for a compelling story, as Mezrich's books typically do (and probably will make a good movie someday).
review 2: I could not get going with this book, because I just wasn't that interested in hearing the exploits of some frat boys. But I ended up charging through the last hundred pages in the middle of the night after Congress passes the law related to online poker. I guess I e
... morenjoyed that from the standpoint of trying to better understand exactly how the online poker and online betting rules worked. I'm sure it's very unsettling having your entire livelihood in limbo based on the vague statute less
