review 1: I was very pleasantly surprised with this book. I'm fairly new to romance, so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but nothing raised any red flags for me. I liked the aliens (both species) quite a bit, though Legian was a little too perfect at times, which even with my little experience of the genre is probably fairly common anyway. I loved Sienna, and her character was a breath of fresh air after the bland character building in Hunter's Claim.
review 2: Berrin Rae’s Collision is the most thrilling book I’ve read in a while. This book grabs you at page one and never lets go. Sienna and Legian are phenomenal characters, lifelike and vivid. Sienna is funny, teaching the newcomers to her planet curse words and how to flip the bird. She’s also tough as nails... more and completely devoted to her new role in her own world. Her emotions are your own throughout the book- her pain, her love, her joy. Rae nails them perfectly. Legian is yummy. Struggling to do his best for his people, so in love with Sienna, and working to combine the two, his own emotional journey through the book is moving. Even secondary characters throughout are wonderfully fleshed out. The characters in this book are tremendous, but there’s even more to it than that. The war between species leaves you on the edge of your seat. There’s tension and sadness, undercover operations and secrets plots. The ending is wholly satisfying, but you’ll still find yourself eagerly waiting for the second book. I know I can’t wait for the next! less
