review 1: I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads.Another great book by Beth Ciotta. I loved that this book picks up where the first left off, simply changing the perspective of who the story is focusing on. Many series books can often brush over the previous character's problems, or lives, but The Trouble with Love did a great job of keeping with the relationships of Fool for Love. It was interesting getting to dive into Jayce and Rocky's relationship, and learning about what exactly had happened to cause the rift -clung to for 13 years- and how they managed to reconcile and move on with their lives. Also, I loved that we got to see Dev and Chloe's relationship continue and blossom in new and exciting ways. This book also expands on Luke Monroe's character, addin... moreg a bit more depth to the primary owner of the Sugar Shack. Overall, I am pleased thus far with the series that Ciotta has created and I am looking forward to the release of the third book come October.
review 2: I definitely think the second half of this book was better than the first. I liked Rocky and Jayce better when they weren't snipping all the time and thought that they made a good couple. I found myself laughing when Rocky came clean to Dev about Jayce and again when Jayce did it himself.I thought the whole business with Tasha was anti-climatic and didn't make me think better of her.I found myself intrigued by what was going on with Rachel. I know there is more to her story, I just hope we find out what it is. less
