review 1: I really wanted to like this book but I just couldn't finish it. Got about 2/3 of the way through and couldn't convince myself to pick it back up again. The concept had the potential to be really cool but the author just didn't bother to develop the characters or plot even the slightest bit. If anything it read like a PG romance book; 2 dimensional characters and a plot that only served to further the romantic relationship, but without any of the indulgent guilty pleasure that comes with "romance" novels.
review 2: overall it was a good young adult book. it kept me on my toes it had romance and a bit of humor but as with every book it has its downside. the biggest problem I had was that the "murmered" each others names too much... for some reason that was a a b... moreig turn off. there is one other thing and call me insane but its not something I can explain. there was just an odd feeling when I finished the book like there was a detail I had overlooked. nonetheless it was a good novel and I'd recommend it to those who don't mind an incredibly short read where the female lead leaves more to be desired. less
