review 1: This was a good book 2. Lots of twists and turns, many ups and downs but still lots of love and more healing going on.Dailan and Nicole are so cute and loving. Their love is so grand and so overwhelming that I think they still scare each other. They are both head strong and fearless and will walk t through hell for their family so at times there are too many chefs and not enough cooks but they make it work.Ryan is still so wonderful, has such a great heart and an awesome big brother.Ella is so adorable and her kisses are so sweet - I can just see that little cutie pie kissing her daddy and brother LOL She is a doll.I'm not sure if there will be a book 3 but there is so much more to tell about this family - a book 3 would be great!!!
review 2: I absolutely L
... moreOVED "An Unplanned Life," a terrific follow-up to book 1, "An Unplanned Lesson." I "Pre-Ordered" this from Amazon and when I got it, as anxious as I was to read it I just couldn't because I was uncertain of what was going to happen to Dailan and Nicole even though I knew in the back of my mind they'd still be together in the end. I know, you may think I'm weird or whatever, but it's how I felt. Suffice to say I finally started the book and didn't stop until I got to the very end. Dailan and Nicole are one of my all-time favourite couple; a couple with so much love and passion not only for themselves, but also for their two children. A lot of hot and passionate couples may cause my Kindle to spark, but Dailan and Nicole have basically short-circuited it out. Couples wish they had as much love as these two share."An Unplanned Life" is told from both Dailan and Nicole's POV. We're taken back to when Nicole became pregnant in high school. I was in tears reading what she went through; and anger to those who treated her with such disdain and cruelty. I could really feel her pain as it all felt so real. Dailan and Nicole's happy marriage is put to the test as they're both barraged with serious problems that may possibly shatter their marriage. Some readers thought Nicole to be a little dramatic, mean and unreasonable. I don't agree. I completely understood where she was coming from. She had every right to feel the way she did. Seriously, what woman would be comfortable knowing her high-school nemesis is working alongside her husband? I also understood where Dailan was coming from that everything he was doing was for them. My heart went out to them both. Unlike so many other novels where the hero may have a cordial working relationship with his secretary, regardless that she's his wife's high-school nemesis, or that he's unknowingly being set up which in turn will ruin his marriage, Dailan does the complete opposite. He doesn't fall for any of Rachel's charms or schemes to destroy his marriage. He actually tells her upfront his true feelings of disdain for her, erecting up a wall that Rachel cannot penetrate. This only made me love Dailan even more. "An Unplanned Life" is a beautifully well-written story of true love. I highly recommend this to all lovers of the romance genre. I can only hope that you will love it as much as I did as it's a true gem. I'm tearful as this is the end of Dailan and Nicole's story and what a story it is. This is one HEA I'll always remember. I look forward anxiously to reading future works of this amazing storyteller. less

Oh my… Nicole went through a lot. I loved that it was a sequel as well as a prequel.
