review 1: Wow. Just WOW. Honestly like this book took me a lot longer to read because I HATED cricket and really just her concept of everything but... Just seeing her transformation and her learning about who she is and who she can be... And QUINN MY GOODNESS BLESS HIS SOUL. Everything about this story just gets you progressively and it all adds up in the end and just makes this amazing story so beautiful. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
review 2: I loved this book. There's a great message in all that ugliness and messiness that we call human life. This book made me laugh, it made me teary-eyed, it made me sad, mad, happy and everything in between. Most importantly, though, it made me really uncomfortable and that's when I fell in love with the book. I don't consider myself a Cricket
... more, but I identified with some parts of her. I also know a lot of people who are very much like her and could benefit from reading this book. This book captures the things most of us don't say out loud, but I am fairly certain they are things we all have thought at one time or another. As I read this book, I realized that these are things we should talk about because they are universal feelings we have yet we have to repress them. By talking about them, we can better connect with each other and truly build a better world. And frankly, I need a Claire in my life. That girl had me at bananas (b-a-n-a-n-a-s). less
