I was really in to colouring books for a while, like a lot of people but they never had much staying power with me and I hadn’t bought any new ones for ages but I couldn’t resist Jenny Lawson’s You Are Here because I love her first book (I haven’t read her second, yet) and her stuff on her blog. And I am so glad that I bought You Are Here because it is has proved to be the perfect calming influence for the Christmas period. It’s basically a mixture of Jenny’s beautiful hand drawings and her very wise words. Anyway, here are some of my favourite ones that I’ve done this week, the top one was done with Japanese watercolour and the rest done with promarkers (which I love because I like how in small areas, the colour is very uniform and in bigger areas the colour is subtly varied like watercolour but as always, promarkers are a nightmare for leaching through the paper).
(All original black and white drawings from Jenny Lawson’s You Are Here).
