review 1: Although I didn’t love this as much as I loved the first book, it still deserves a thumbs up. My only complaint was that a few parts of this book seemed incomplete/bare to me and I wished there was more to them. One minute you’re saving girls from Malcontent the next you’re ‘kidnapped’ by Prince Prospero. Basically it felt a bit incomplete and random (aka rushed) towards the end, but overall if you enjoyed Masque of the Red Death as much as I did there is still some worth in reading Dance of the Red Death.
review 2: I wish I could've loved this more, but I had a hard time doing so. The first book of the duology was vivid and vibrant, but this one fell a little flat for me. That's not to say that I didn't want to learn what happened, because I most ... morecertainly did. But the angst and the triangle with Will and Elliott was a little played out for me. If you liked the first book and you want resolution, then this is definitely a must read. less
