review 1: Love watching Betty White on TV, especially reruns of The Golden Girls, and her little segments on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. I've been wanting to read one of her books for a while now, I am so glad I picked this one as my first. This book shows in very great detail, the love Betty has for all animals. The pictures are lovely, and the small amount of facts about the animals, is very interesting for anyone who is interested in animals.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book. I think many people, myself included, may have wanted to see more of Betty's humor, like we did with the picture of Cheeks the cockatoo. However, I don't think that humor was the point Betty was trying to make. Betty wants us to see an appreciation for animals as well as the conse... morervation efforts zoos do. She wants to wake up the world regarding the protection of wildlife, and I think that she succeeded in this purpose. less
