review 1: I read this book as a biography for one of my Independent Book Projects, and although it was a very quick and easy read, it gave me lots of information about the life of the cartoonist, Charles Schulz. The comics throughout the book make it much more interesting to read, because some biographies can be less interesting to read. When I got the assignment that we had to read a biography, in my head I was thinking: "Biographies: they're kind of boring." but i found this book at the library and I started reading it there, and I ended up picking up another biography because now i know how great they can be to read. this book really demonstrates all of the highlights and lowlights of Shulz' life, and it was a very good book to read.
review 2: My son and I read this b
... moreiography of Charles Schulz together. We both enjoyed the story, the photos, and the many examples of the Peanuts comic strip that appear throughout the book. This is a great biography for kids. Schulz's life was interesting and his commitment, goal-setting, and work ethic set a good example for young readers. Most importantly, Schulz is shown as a kind and loving man who maintained a sense of fun throughout his life. less

Great biography of Charles Schulz, including how he got started and his shy reaction to fame.
