review 1: This story felt relentless and certainly the two sisters Della and Avis lived through rough times .While the story continually highlighted the difference in the two woman it did very little to qualify it. Avis the younger was angry and harsh while Della harboured no grudges even against her angry womanizing husband.Perhaps this story made me uncomfortable because it was a rotten time for women as they tried to make the transition to being something other than wives and mothers.

Hmmmmmm well the 1st chapter and the last chapter were the most interesting for me.
