review 1: This book is erotica, so if that's not your thing, stop reading. This is book 4 in the resonance mates series by Ms. D'Arc, and it's pretty bad. The characters are flat and uninteresting, the dialog stilted and holier-than-thou. I got the impression that I was listening to a 1960's superhero talk every time anyone opened his or her mouth. It's solidly romantica, focusing almost continually on everyone's (gag me) feelings rather than the fairly interesting sci-fi plot or the (fairly dull in this case) sex scenes. Honestly, I skimmed them-that uninspired. I was bored, and I won't read any more of this series. This one focuses on Grady Prime, the general of the Alvin soldiers, taking the emotional gene therapy and thereafter finding his mate (Gina) within a band of ninja-like s... moreecret warrior Alvins who happen to have wings. Then he finds Sinclair Prime (also emotional) living in a community of humans, along with Gina's OTHER mate, a human named Jim. Jim and Grady don't get along as first, then Grady becomes a human ally. There are a couple M-F-M menage scenes, but not many. Mostly vanilla.
review 2: Bianca D'Arc delivers another amazing chapter in her Resonance Mates Series. Her deft handling of the intricacies of melding three very different people, all of them warriors with seemingly conflicting loyalties, into a committed menage, is breathtaking. Her characters are so vivid that they feel as if they could jump off of the page and you find yourself rooting for them as they struggle to complete their missions and find a way to be together.Being an alien super soldier on a conquered planet isn't easy especially when you add newly developed emotions into the mix, but Grady rises to the occasion. His journey to find love with Gina and Jim kept my attention riveted right to the end and I can't wait for the next book in the series.I've reread this series several times and highly recommend it and her other series. less
