review 1: The positive points are that most of the descriptions align with the previous books nicely. The negative point, which really irks me, is that the author thinks that a woman finds a man 'sexy' because of his use of profanity. That affected me in the opposite manner completely, turning me off! There was excessive profanity from several people. I personally do not think it is necessary. It detracts from the moral fitness of the characters that have never behaved that way it in the past. Characters should grow and mature as the series progress, not decline as they did in this one.
review 2: Dixie Hemingway runs a pet sitting service in Siesta Key, Florida. She is hired to sit for a cat at the home of a wealthy man who is travelling with his wife. When she goes... more to the home she finds the body of the homeowner in the swimming pool. Her friend Kenny works for the family as the pool boy and he disappears right after the body is found. Dixie feels that she has to help Kenny get out of the mess he is in. This was a very good book and I liked the heroine a lot. The author keeps her away from the nosy heroine notch that so many authors seem to think necessary. She is smart and sassy and gets the job done. I will read more. less
