review 1: A fun read, an interesting premise, and potentially a good Saturday night Syfy movie. Drawbacks are that Lily's and Leo's reactions to their initial ordeal don't ring true unless they're both sociopaths, Lily's a little too much of a Mary Sue, and the characters all sound too much alike - even the Irish nun. I'm a sucker for the glib lines, the action, and bad-ass chicks, though, so I imagine I'll be reading the rest of the series.
review 2: Very good for the first in a series. There is a definite feel to each character. I'm invested in their lives & what happens to them.
