January TBR – 2018

My Goodreads goal this year is to read 100 books. Here are some I want to kick off the year with!

This is one of the books I will be reviewing for Reader Views. It’s the first in NINE, a science fiction series by Loren Walker. I don’t know very much beyond the synopsis, which is how I prefer when going into a book. From what I can gather, it’s about a healer of some kind who helps treat a mysterious stranger. Things go down hill from there.

This one has been on my TBR for a good while. It’s about a young woman who goes on a quest to save a valuable and magical treasure that vanishes one night. I haven’t read too many of Garth Nix’s works, but I’ve enjoyed what I have and I’m looking forward to getting better acquainted with his writing. If anyone has suggestions for what I should read, I’d love to hear them.

I’ve been really interested in historical fiction dealing with wars lately, and this one is different than any others I’ve come across. It tales place during World War II and follows a socialite named Mary. She enlists in the British military to become a spy, but is made into a school teacher instead. There’s also a love story involved.

I’ve heard so much about this book on Booktube and the edition I own is beautifully illustrated as well. I also have the movie. I’m hoping I can pick a day to sit down and just binge on them. Here’s to hoping it’s as good as I’ve heard!

What’s on your TBR for the month? Anything that you’re bursting at the seams excited for?
