review 1: I am not a huge fan of fantasy books...but I decided to try this series just for the heck of it and I LOVED THESE BOOKS! Each one in the series is better than the next, and I almost cried at the end when I finished them. The two main characters, Jason and Rachel, have strong personalities that many people can relate to. The journey you follow them in keeps you holding your breath and holds a smile on your face whether you want it or not. Brandon Mull has created a page-turning wonder of a trilogy that you can't put down. I strongly recommend it; you won't be disappointed.
review 2: Loved Brandon Mull's Fablehaven Series and was happy to find this other series by accident at the library. Great read, intriguing story line. There were so many unexpected twists an... mored turns throughout this 3 book series that I only wish it had gone on longer! I think there is easily enough material to continue on to at least one more book if the author ever wished to really tie off all loose ends. less
