review 1: Wow! Just wow! What amazing writing. This is one book that absolutely captivated me, grabbed on and didn't let go. As a matter of fact, it still hasn't let go. I want more. I want more Anderson, I want more Lem, I want more Gia, and I definitely want more Mr. Jefferson. The writing is so smooth and seamless that the characters absolutely come alive, multi faceted, in full HD. The part where Cesar gets his comeuppance from Lem is one of the most vivid scenes I can remember reading in a very long time - and Anderson's reaction is so well done and executed that I felt I was right there with him.The eventual shower with Lem is, well, just mind blowing - let's leave it at that! WOW!Is there a sequel? I certainly hope so as I'm going to go searching for it.Now I must read Summer... more Symphony to see Mr. Shire's 'other side', so to speak.Mark me as a new fan.
review 2: This book had me on the edge of my seat. I was so invested in Lem and Anderson that towards the end I felt desperate for their happiness, for Anderson's release, and for Lem to feel loved. I kept envisioning all the shit that could go wrong and praying that it didn't happen. Man, this book had me teary eyed as I was finishing it, because I wanted so much for Lem and Anderson, but especially Lem. He was so outwardly strong, yet tender and vulnerable inside. What a yummy combination. I really believed in their love and I felt the longing and desperation just as they did. I wasn't expecting that. less
