In the Shadows of Brimstone: City of the Ancients base game set, the otherworld the heroes travel to through the void portals they find down the dank mineshafts is the frozen Plataeu of Targa. This is a seemingly abandoned alien city locked in cold winter’s embrace. I like to think of it as akin to the city found in Antarctica in the story The Mountains of Madness by HP Lovecraft, which you can read by following the link provided.
However, the City is not entirely abandoned. Ancient automatons watch from the shadows and ambush the heroes, rather like the Dwemer Constructs in Skyrim.
The largest of these robotic watchers is the Guardian of Targa. About the same size as a 40K Dreadnought.
That is actually a scrape over it’s left “eye” I missed before taking the pics. I will be fixing that shortly.
The paint job had several false starts and in the end I got sick of it and just went for the “rushy rusty” as I think of it.
The Guardian of Targa is found in the “XL-sized Enemy Pack” of the same name and is made of HIPS hard styrene plastic. 60mm base.
