review 1: The book was rather well written. I really liked the sex scenes and the falling in love process. I may have forgiven the weak reason for the rivalry, or the lame character names, but unfortunately, the author chose too many unoriginal and overdone plot twists or whatever you may call it... Like the whole "suddenly getting caught kissing another person misunderstanding" or the "Omg you almost died and made me realise my love for you" situation. I also didn't like the conveniently fitting lyrics from the background music, which happened way too often.That's why: 2 stars because of unoriginality.
review 2: A quick fun read that is full of steamy goodness. The characters are not very complex but that's not the point of this book. It's indulgent junk food reading. ... moreI love that the author didn't take herself to seriously with character name like Pat O'brien who's a cop. So chiche but that's what makes it fun. The sex writing is really good too. Good flow, no weird words or prose to throw you off and it's not corny. Probably best part is that everything in the book reads so current. I would have loved a epilogue but I'm finding this author likes to leave a clean cut at the end of her books. less
