review 1: What a good read! A fresh plot for a series of a strip club in Austin, Texas which needs a huge overhaul. What makes this story interesting is the characters she has introduced in the first story and a romance between two unlikely characters. The city slick New Yorker Bennett Truitt and a Texan girl Tatum Reynolds. He's in Texas to prove himself to his father. She wants to be a dancer.They meet up at Iron Rods when she's there to drink away her recent job rejection and he's there working on the books. When he offers her the job of managing the place she takes it seriously but he seems to have ulterior motives. Tatum and Bennett are smoking together and heat up the pages with their scenes. They definitely have chemistry but can they have more than that together? Each hav... moree some baggage they have to come to grips with in their life, together and separately, and it was dealt with nicely. I like this story and like to see where it is going with it. The dancers strike my interest and I'm sure there will be more romance in the making.
review 2: I cannot wait for the next books in The Strip Club Series if Iron Rods is any indication of things to come. Brenna Zinn is a talented author who has created some colourful characters that you instantly fall in love with. Bennett Truitt is one of those heroes that is flawed by a childhood that was less than perfect and your heart instantly goes out to him. Tatum Reynolds is a 6 foot tall blonde dancer who is struggling to find a job dancing so she can pay off all her student loans and live her dream as a professional dancer. Sadly, Tatum's dreams are crushed when she receives yet another rejection letter and suddenly her life is taking a turn on another direction.Iron Rods is a story that will have you laughing aloud at its wonderful cast of characters, including Lyle Truitt, Bennet's father who is hilarious! This romance is fabulous as it goes through the trials and triumphs of Bennett and Tatum's journey of finding love with each other. The plot and conflict in this story are well laid out for readers that keeps this story flowing seamlessly and keeping this reader turner the pages. I really liked this story and really can't wait to find out what Brenna Zinn will give us next in this series, although I am pretty confident she will deliver another awesome story. less
