review 1: Of all the characters in Saga, ghost girl Izabel has become an afterthought; there isn't much she could do, she's incorporeal after all.But she proves that she belongs to this family of bad asses after taking on the Lying Cat. Poor Cat, it didn't stand a chance against her ghostly powers. After reading the third volume of Saga, I can't help but wonder if BKV is emphasizing the rareness of Marko and Alana's relationship by ending at least one romantic tandem per volume. The first volume saw the end of The Will and The Stalk. The second saw the death of Marko's father. Now, Klara lost Heist and Gwendolyn and The Will's surprising romance is in jeopardy as well. Perhaps Marko and Alana will be together forever? Too soon to tell I'm afraid.Another quality issue by BKV and Stapl... morees. It has become easier to forgive the mini-hiatus in-between arcs, as long as Staples continues to make the best art of her career.
review 2: Damn. That last panel. So fucking adorable! I'm a little amazed that everyone is calling this slow. I think they're reading the wrong book - wait where is that from?? Nm ill think on that later. For right now everyone going on about this being slow clearly forgot what reading single issues are like. This isn't even par for the course this is still exceptional and I loved it. Now to wait until may.... less
