review 1: This definitely improved over the first volume, for me, though I know most of that is the benefit of being over the introduction hump. I'm really, really enjoying this, and it's a little surprising because, and I keep using this word, this series is a bit abrasive. It just gets all in your face with its characters and crazy scenarios, but it also manages to be subtlety endearing. That is, the "endearing" part of this is what is subtle, to me, because I was loving it before I even realized that I was. Anyway, I continue to love Hazel's narration and those parts of the connecting story are my favorite bits. I liked that we got some back story on Marko and met some new characters. I think my favorite, favorite part, though, was every thing that was happening on the rocket shi... morep between Alana and Barr. This story has been pretty obvious in it's starcrossed lovers type spiel, but here we get a bit of a more subtle look at how people, wings or horns, are people. These two opposite people bond over their love of Marko and the experience of being a new parent and even over clothes and it was fantastic. There was a thing or two I would've rather never seen in my life (SHUDDER) but again, while it was graphic it wasn't too gratuitous. I'm really enjoying this series and am so happy it was my (near) introduction to graphic novels.
review 2: The next installment of Saga does not disappoint. The story still felt fresh, tons of new characters are introduced, "old characters" grow/we see more of their past, you get more of the history of the war between the horns and the wings, and this book will have you going from WTF to aww.... in seconds. It's kind of a roller coaster. Also, this book includes weird shit, sex, swearing and violence. You've been warned. less

I rarely actually review books, but Gwendolyn is too hot to just not say anything. Sexy as hell.

FANTASTIC, I LOVE THIS, and of course it has to end with a cliffhanger!

So much fun. I feel like Lost Girl and Hitchhiker's Guide had a child.
