review 1: Again, Rathbone kept my interest and eager for more. Rathnone doesn't seem to be an experienced writer as the story jumps around quite a bit with lots of characters lacking real debth. If you are a critical reader this may not be the series for you. I, however, like to read for entertainment and enjoyment and this book provided me with both. I e joyed the story and was glad I could start the next one right away!
review 2: As with book #1 I found this to be a quick and enjoyable read. The plot kept my attention and I didn't really ever have the urge to skip boring paragraphs as tends to happen sometimes if the plot is too slow. But again, as with book #1 I kept having flashbacks to other popular book series. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, because I definite
... morely enjoyed those books and this one, but it's just something to keep in mind. The plot is unique enough to keep my interest, sometimes even including some surprising parts, but at times I was having some faint deja vu. Rathbone definitely managed to maintain momentum from the first book though and many authors struggle to pull that off. less
