review 1: It's been a long while since I read the first three Ms. Marvels, so I'll admit that I was a little lost coming into this one, but it came together in the end. I like the inclusion of the new superheroes (I think Sleepwalker and Rick have great potential, although I feel a little sorry for Rick, being all left behind!), and the back story that we got on Cru. I don't know the history of the Brood and all that but this volume helped me put some of the pieces together. Very interesting.
review 2: There is much to like about this volume of Ms. Marvel; in fact, it is probably some of the best MM stuff ever, if not THE best. It has Monster Island, Machine Man, Sleepwalker, and tons of action with very little emo narration, like previous volumes. The art is good-girl s... moretyle (and good), probably the best work I have seen by Lopresti. Fun read and a caring take on the character (who has been abused at times by some writers in the past). less
