review 1: Great new author! I always b eerie about the authors "Zane Presents", this is the first author she's presented that I have enjoyed reading. The character Val before she turned an evil bitch, was hilarious! I guess this point only makes sense depending on your point of view. I understood Nina's decision, but I definitely would have [tried], damn broad! The only thing I didn't like about Nina's character was that she seemed like she was a Gemini or something, she had these different personalities. She had moments when she was genuine, but then she was a bourgeoise in like a split second. And Larry was good, cause he heard her talking crap about his daughter, she wasn't giving him NO love, and she was spending the man money, and she cheated, she was just doing too much. Larry... more was a simp. Plain and simple, simpville all day. After all that he should have kicked her ass to the curb. And I just thought about it, what happened to Val and the baby?
review 2: “Three may keep a secret, if two of them are dead.” - Benjamin FranklinAfter her fiance is murdered Nina starts stripping for a living to make ends meet for she and her daughter, Precious. Larry loses his wife to cancer and is forced to be a single parent to his daughter, Chrissy. Larry starts frequenting the strip joint and finds himself mesmerized by Nina. Determined to show her a better life, Larry asks Nina to marry him and that's where the fun begins.Nina is involved in a car accident and is forced to choose between saving her daughter or saving her step daughter Chrissy and this one incident sets off events of lies, deceit, and blackmail. This is the second novel I have read from Brian W. Smith and it's a WINNER... less
