review 1: This book begins with an introduction of Joe, a bus driver. He goes throughout different stops on his bus route, picking up animals. The animals he picks up increase in number (from 1-10), switching between cats and dogs. He drives a few of the cats and dogs to a boat and then they sail away. Next, he drops others off at the plane, and then at the train. At the end, he keeps one dog, who we find out is his own! This book would be a great introductory transportation book, and would be suitable for young children and children with special needs. I also would use this book to use the concepts "next", "last", and "first".
review 2: This was a delightful book, very simple and happy. The bus driver narrates this story of how he picks up various animals and then drop
... mores them off at their destinations. Really, he acts more like a large taxi than a bus. But forget that. The story is gentle but interesting to the preschooler crowd. He teaches the audience simple addition and subtraction and ends with just a bit of a surprise for preschoolers to enjoy. This is a companion to My Car. The colors are nice and bright, perfect for story time! less

It's a perfectly fine book for the wheel-obsessed crowd, but nothing groundbreaking.

Specifically designed for the very young learning math. Not my cup of tea.

Great for animals, transportation, and counting. Typical Byron Barton.
