review 1: This book is surprisingly interested with an intricate plot, at least better than a lot of cozy murder mysteries I have read as of late. I love Max and I feel sorry for him and while I like Roxy's determination and efforts in solving the case and putting poor old Beatrice to rest, I don't quite like the way she treats Max.Still, the love tension is cute and I hope she will eventually fall for Max.
review 2: This is a crime fiction novel involving a young woman named Roxy Parker who is a ghost writer. It is part of a series but apparently they stand alone very well. ... moreturns and it's surprising to find out about the relationships of the characters to one another. The main character is kind of like the Jessica Fletcher in the old TV show, Murder She Wrote, but much younger. She get involved in solving the crime and succeeds before the police do. less

It is pretty good, but the editing gets sloppier toward the end.
