review 1: I was very disappointed with this book. I hated all the internal dialogue going on with characters. It felt like for every sentence of dialogue written, there was a page of narrative. I loved the way the author portrayed Lucas, unfortunately she missed an opportunity to show how his relationship with Grace developed. The way they got together at the end of the book seemed forced, or an afterthought. Then miraculously they fell in love. I gave it 2.5 stars because there was a good basis to the story but I have to admit I skimmed over most of what I felt were more fillers than anything else.
review 2: Decent but I thought it lacked a bit of tension/conflict between the hero and the heroine. The heroine also seemed to have a massive over reaction to someth
... moreing that happened when she was a teenager. Although I suppose that having received no counselling it could have lingered on for years and she just got stuck in a rut. I also felt like I would have liked to know more about the hero's history. He was pretty melodramatic. Still he was an interesting, different sort of hero. I did like the way they were together and how they helped each other. less

This and Sarah Morgan's A Night of Scandal are the best of the Notorious Wolfes series.

Great story! Lucas reminds me of a Regency Rake -- I loved him!
