review 1: I haven't read too many Harlequins so I don't know if this is a typical read. Adriana is Crown Prince Lenz's PA and he has sent her to keep his younger brother Prince Pato in line and out of the press until Lenz's wedding in 2 months time. Adriana has her own demons in the form of ancestors who were mistresses of the royal family. I love bad boys so Prince Pato was perfect for me. Younger brother of Crown Prince Lenz, he has made a career out of being a man whore. Adriana, on the first day of her assignment, walks into his bedroom and finds him in bed with 2 naked beauties. And so it begins.I would have liked an epilogue as I didn't get any closure with the way the story ended.
review 2: This is a very confusing book. Half the time I didn't really know what w... moreas going on. Romance wise, the story was okay and there was enough chemistry between the two main characters to keep me happy, but at the same time for the hero to constantly torment and harass the vulnerable heroine and then excuse it as some part of a weird royal plot was a bit uncalled for. I guess the problem with this is that I was a bit disengaged from the characters. I couldn't understand why Pato wasn't kinder or why Adriana didn't just tell him to sod off. The rest of the characters in the story as well are just all horrible and judgmental. Even Pato's brother who is supposed to be a good guy isn't especially nice. And so to be left with only two decent characters, well only one really, is rather disappointing. 2 stars for the lack of coherency and for only having one likeable character. less
