review 1: Loved Loved LOVED this book. I Loved it so much that i had to read it twice or Three times.. and have passed it on to others who have also enjoyed the book. Thayer...YUMMM - such an intense personality, very appealing since the beginning. I loved the sarcasm, this made me laugh often and the truth in friendship.Such an awesome book. I haven't gotten to the second book yet as i am still stuck on Thayer and Severine.Thank you for a great read.
review 2: Ok, so I never really write reviews for books but I felt I had to for this book. I'll make it short.I liked this book, a lot actually, despite my 3 stars. The story line for the book was really good. I liked the fact that the author showed that everybody has their own problems to deal with so therefore we shouldn'
... moret judge someone based on what we think about them. We should give them a chance to show their true self, as both Thayer and Macsen did with Severine. I also loved the chemistry that Thayer and Severine had from the beginning and the fact that they were drawn to each other, even though they both tried to fight it in their own way. As you're reading it you KNOW that Severine is gonna end up with Thayer, you were just waiting for it to happen.Still, the reason why I gave this 3 stars is solely based on how it was written. There were sooo many times that I wanted to just stop reading this book. The first half.. probly the first 2/3 of the book for me was sooo hard to connect to. It's like I would read but still be stuck in real life and not the book, like I was reading from a book in front of class. I never really got lost in the book, and when I did it was brief. I don't know maybe it's just me, but I thought this book could have gave so much more. The story had so much to give but it didn't draw me in. It didn't make me want to keep reading and never want to put the book down. It never made me loose sleep over it because of how good it is. I kept reading based solely on the fact that i wanted to get it over with and I wanted to see how it ended. Also because I hate not finishing a book because I always feel like if I just keep reading it will get better, and I have to admit that this book did, toward the end, when she was starting a relationship with Thayer.I would still recommend people to read this book because it really had a great story, I just feel like it could have been executed better. less
