GENRE: Romance, Historical Romance
RATING:
♥Quick overview about the Wallflowers♥Set in London 1843, four girls, who usually found themselves sitting together ball after ball, soiree after soiree, watching other girls dance and get courted, finally get to an agreement that they would help each other win a husband starting from the eldest to the youngest. From wallflowers to fiery husband hunters, these girls will blow your mind.
After three seasons with no luck of finding a husband, Daisy’s father finally gave her an ultimatum: find a husband this season or marry Matthew Swift, her father’s favorite employee back in America.
Though seemingly meek and gentle, Daisy is still a Bowman, and a Bowman never accept defeat. After being called a parasite by her father, she is set to prove him wrong. Besides, she’d marry anyone but Matthew who she thinks is the opposite of her dream man. She wants someone who would be like the men she read about in books.
But seeing Matthew again after a long time, Daisy have never seen so much transformation as what Matthew had gone through. And amidst the banters and quarrels, she begun seeing the man of her dreams in him. But then again, what if he’s not really the man she thought he is.
Of all the wallflowers, I think Daisy is my favorite. You see, Daisy is a very short person, and prefers the company of books rather than people. Yeah, she’s not a snob but given a choice, she would rather spend her time reading than attend a party or any social events. She’s sweet but a fighter just like her sister Lillian(from the 2nd book). She knows, she’s not really a beauty. She’s short and slight. And people call her elf or imp.
And ladies and gentlemen, I just described myself.
