review 1: Overall, 3.5 rating for this short but sexy sweet " palate cleanser" I very much needed after seriously heavy MC drama complete with a cliff hanger ending in a series I'm reading. This refreshing novella had a predictable yet highly satisfying plot with an equally steamy yet quick, tidy and happy ending. One could argue not enough time was allotted for character developmement, blah blah blah...especially in the case between the siblings when the "truth is exposed" however I'm a rebel and will fight the norm by saying a heartfelt "thank you" to this author for not dragging it out dramatically and unnecessarily for pages on end. THIS fan appreciates the short, sweet, concise approach. Well done
review 2: This is a sweet short story of finally grabbing the man yo... moreu've loved for years. Nellie has been in love with her best friend Alexa's brother for years. Jake realized several years earlier, that his sister's friend Nellie is no longer the little girl she was growing up. She's a woman now and he wants her. When Nellie's car is stolen on New Year's and Jake rides up to the scene, he gets his chance to spend time with Nellie. Nellie makes it clear she wants Jake and they share a hot kiss. It's a New Years to remember. A very sweet short story told in both POVs. less
