review 1: ***Who Picked This? received an ARC of this in exchange for a honest review***Mag’s 4 Star Review:Honey Whiskey is unlike anything I have ever read before. I won’t lie. The cover enticed me to read the synopsis. Anything with a man on a bike and the words MC has me intrigued, but once I read the description of the book and then Always Been Mine (Book One), which if you haven’t read you REALLY REALLY REALLY should, I knew I needed to read them. Honey Whiskey starts off right where Always Been Mine stopped, and it picks up with a bang. I love how you get more than Jo’s pov in this book and we really get to know the other characters. Jo really surprised me in the second book. In Always Been Mine, I thought I had her pegged and then she spun me and in Honey Whi... moreskey she twisted me around too. Matty is a really layered and interesting character. I loved him from the beginning of Always Been Mine. He just has that personality that makes you want to read more about him. This is not my traditional review, due to the nature of the book; I can’t give too much away, but know I would defiantly recommend this book to any person!
review 2: This book follows on from Always Been Mine, which you really have to read to get into the mind-set of Jo and Matt’s characters. All the questions I had at the end of book one, were answered in this book.I really felt both Matt and Jo grew in this book. Obviously, Jo has left her husband and is in a relationship with Matt. She knows the real Matt, the Matt he has tried to keep hidden from most people because people were always out for what they could get from him. Not Jo. She loved him for him, and he for her. I really thought they worked hard to make things work.Obviously an easy ride wouldn’t make a good story, so there were the spanners thrown into the mix. I could see the angst Jo had as she tried to fit into the MC lifestyle. She showed great strength of character to adapt to something completely alien to her. She was also very brave to put her life on the line.I felt this book really showcased Matt’s feelings for Jo.I’m not a big fan of MC books but I have to say that each and every member of the club had their own personality and had their own personal reasons for being in the club. It was good to read about how a bunch of diverse people could all work together for the same goal. This is a good series to get into if you like your hot alpha males, funny banter and pretty strong women. less
