review 1: This ebook was recommended to me by Tana for the Gang Bang Quarterly challenge in the M/M Romance Group in Goodreads.Living in a small town, Joey hasn't come out to his family or friends except to his best friend April. At age 24 he was still a virgin, so he decided to go to Tulsa to lose his virginity. Instead he finds the most gorgeous man alive working as a part-time bartender in a gay bar.It's attraction at first sight for both of them, with love threatening to happen :)Although Curt has been heartbroken before, he was reluctant to fall in love or even get attached. Until he laid eyes on Joey, everything changed!!Nice sweet short read. I loved the innocent drink Curt fixed for Joey, that was just adorable :)
review 2: This is a very short story about a man ... morelooking to lose his virginity, and finding love instead. Joey's First Time is a very easy, quick read by Carol Lynne and I enjoyed it.Joey is a twenty-four year old virgin. He lives in a very small town in Oklahoma, and is still closeted to everyone but his best friend April. Joey hears about a gay bar in Tulsa, so he makes the trip to see if he can hook up with someone. What he doesn't expect is to meet a very sexy older man who he feels an immediate connection with. Curt has been hurt before. As a favor is tending bar at the club when he spots Joey mosey on up to it. He is immediately taken by Joey's sweetness and is attracted to his smaller sexy body. As the night progresses, both men become more and more taken with one another, and they are surprised by the emotional connection they feel for one another. Curt and Joey decide to take it slow. They don't immediately fall into bed with one another, opting to get to know each other better and to possibly build a relationship with one another.I liked this story. Curt and Joey were definately connected on a physical and emotional level...especially for a short story. I really wish the story would have been longer, I would have like to see the relationship develop more, but it was still a satisfying short story and I recommend it for those who just want a quick love fix. Carol Lynne writes very simple, easy stories. There is not alot of conflict and she always has sweet and satisfying endings in all of the books I have read by her.If you are offended by M/M explict sexual activities this book is not for you.I really rate this as a 3.5 stars, but rounded it up. less
