review 1: I've always loved and understood archetypes, so I enjoyed the personal application of them to my life and personality. (For the record, I am an Artist, a Caregiver, and an Intellectual.) I think that the writing style was very accessible and objective, however, I did miss the author's personality a little. I do think that the objectivity was appropriate, though, or else it would have felt like she was imposing her personal philosophy on me. As it is, I really enjoyed this book and resonated readily with my archetype descriptions. I'd recommend this to anyone who has an interest in archetypes or identity seeking.
review 2: I picked this up just for something to read. Archetype by Caroline Myers is another book helping to give you insight into your personality an... mored characteristics. With this knowledge then you can learn to make better choices and decisions as to the direction of your life. The book is mainly center on the female and just a little devoted towards the male. This would have been better had there been a more balanced approach.The book was interesting though I think there are better books on this subject as well as test that will help you discover your true traits and interest. Over all thought he book was interesting and I would recommend this as a starting point for someone. less
