review 1: Not a bad conclusion to this series, though some of it felt off to me, as if the author was starting to run out of ideas. But given that I liked the preceding books (well, except for the whole Demeter issue), and I certainly enjoyed seeing the happy ending, a fun little read. Perhaps someday when I'm in the mood I'll read all 7 in sequence. Pandora has certainly matured! (Though her nasty little maiden-school teacher does get his come-uppance.)
review 2: Pandora Gets Frightened is an amazing book and it’s the last book of the Mythic Misadventures series. This time Pandora is going to capture the last evil, fear, which is also the hardest evil to catch. Fear is located in the underworld and Pandora’s friends are also going to travel to the underworld to capt... moreure fear. Although they don’t actually have to die to get to the underworld, they will go through many challenges that will cause them to die. One of the biggest challenges they will all need to go through is Hera, a Greek god. I thought this is a very intense book even though the author, Carolyn Hennesy, tried to make it very amusing because this is the last part Pandora and her friends need to go through. After this part if Pandora doesn’t success, then she will receive a severe punishment from Zeus, the king of the gods. While reading this book I enjoyed how Carolyn Hennesy made the Greek gods so human-like. They have many human qualities--such as them getting jealous, making mistakes, and giving punishments to others. less
