review 1: One of the best books ever of Carolyne's. Love it when a grown man is not ashamed to show his faith and love of God, especially the outdoorsy rugged type! Wonderful story of the true meaning of love and what is important in one's life....the love of family....next to the love for God. Such an awesome ending! I truly recommend this book and will gladly put it on my 'to be re-read" shelf! Thanks so much Carolyne, for sharing your God given talent with us!
review 2: I realize that sometimes one must suspend disbelief to read a book, but Canadian divorce laws seem unreasonably harsh if they would require a man to sell a family farm that he inherited from his parents, and that is home to his three younger sisters and foster brother, and that provides his liveliho
... moreod, in order to settle a divorce from a young woman to whom he was married for only five years, when there were no children born of that marriage(as far as anyone knew at the time), and when he was not the one seeking the divorce. Temporary alimony may have been resonable, but ruining the man was not.(In the United States, property that is inherited is not considered community property.)The unfairness of this situation made me more interested in researching Canadian family law than reading the story. However, I did read the story, and enjoyed it very much. less
