review 1: Cat Johnson has become my FAVE military writer, I came across her work just days ago have back cataloged her work!Trey and Carly set this series off and wow! Their chemistry is like dynamite even if they are just "pretending" to be married. I love nothing more than a strong female lead character who can look after herself and not start the whinging process that makes me hate her by the end of the book! No-- Cat's females rock!.In a world of Black op's where secrecy and red tape mean the civilian world know very little, I loved how she wrote their operation details, seemed realistic and plausible to me.Hot. HOT . Hot
review 2: I've read this book a couple of times now, and each time I do, I get annoyed at how short it is. It sucks you in, forging an immediate... more connection with the characters, and quite abruptly, it ends, satisfactorily, but ends. The book is quite interesting, believable, and enjoyable, but the shortness of it ends up detracting from the book at large. If you enjoy short, military romances, I recommend it, but ultimately, I was left wanting more. I hope that the subsequent books in the series are longer than this one was! less
