review 1: The graphics at the beginning of the story were a little hard to digest for me, but as the story moved on very relevant to the plot. Abby's story is amazing what she had to go through and the way Jerrod was there to assist her through it. Excellent story, very graphic, detail oriented and hard to put down. This was my first time reading Cate Beauman and will be going back and reading the rest of the series.
review 2: This was a very good book with plenty of suspense, a sizzling love story, and intriguing characters. Abby was kidnapped and forced to do unspeakable things or be severely punished. Once rescued, she agrees to testify against the monsters responsible. As a result, her life is in danger and she requires protection. Jarrod admires and respects Abby. S... morehe was a survivor and it was his job to keep her safe until she testifies in court. Splendid 24/7 together, they become close friends. When they are forced to run for their lives, they end up at his family's farm in Nebraska. No longer forced to be constantly looking over their shoulders, they both can relax and let their guards down. Little by little, their growing attraction for one another begins to blossom into something more. But even though they believe themselves to be safe, forces plot against them that not only have the power to wrest them apart, but to end their lives altogether. less
