review 1: I received this book via Goodreads Giveaways. I also noticed, as other people have pointed out, the similarities between the cover of this book and Divergent. There's not a whole lot more similarities between the two books, save for the dystopian theme, so that's a plus. There also were some issues with punctuation, grammar, and typos, which I hope will be fixed in the finalized version of this book. As a person who enjoys dystopian and apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic fiction, I find this book enjoyable. I enjoyed how the "past" and the "present" were discussed and explained. I also found it refreshing that while there was some romance and a love interest, it didn't overwhelm the plot. I also enjoyed the twist toward the end of the book. In general, this was an entertaining ... moreread.
review 2: Paradigm starts out with someone speaking over a speaker, “You have five minutes of this life left”, I immediately began to think what I would do in this situation. I did not know what was going to happen within the book or even if my assumptions were correct.Paradiagm is a dystopian novel which has been increasingly popular in young adult fiction. Although this novel takes a bit of a different approach, in the book the reader is given the point of view of the story by two different characters, and 87 years apart.Alice is a girl who had gone through a storm and lost everything, the novel continues showing her struggle of survival and the creation of Paradigm.Carter has been frozen at the age of 15 years old and placed in the catacombs. He becomes unfrozen so he can compete to become the new Controller General. Although, things are not what they seem for the past 10 years and there is uprising and Carter has more of a role than he even knows, “I know who you are. You’re Carter Warren and youre here for the Uprising!”I did enjoy reading this story, but was a bit slow moving. less

Really good story. A different twist for the genre.
