review 1: Not too bad, I didn't realize pre-purchase that this was a YA mystery. It was very short on my nook, a scant 176 pages, so a very quick rad for me. I'm not known to be a YA type reader, so I really can't tell you if this is a good one for the genre or not. It's very modern, as far as the teens go and with the techonolgy that they have available and used. 3 main characters, Fatima, Shelly and Eric, not super shallow, not super deep. I wish there was more on Shelly's background. Each of the 3 has a horibble secret that they will risk anything to not have it get out to all thier friends and family. To what depths will they sink to keep thier secret? Not a bad little read.
review 2: It started off rather chilling- the terrible secrets were only hinted at and
... more the acts of revenge were only hinted at, so the whole thing had a whole " what??!! What is happening??!" vibe that really drew me in, only to be disappointed as it became a Nancy Drew/Scooby Doo mystery to solve. Not that is was bad, and I'm sure that students will be able to relate to it and really get into it, but I just feel like it could have been more- darker, deeper, more gripping. It would be prefect for a reluctant reader or those who can't get enough of the Margaret Peterson Haddix type of page-turner, but don't give to students who have already started in on Stephen King or Ted Dekker. less

It was very well written, but I didn't enjoy the plot or the characters.

Ratcheting up the suspense 'til the last pages, this is a great read.
