review 1: Well written, easy to read with historical background and sound arguments to support his opinion. It is very convincing in his premise that all Catholics must exercise their right to vote. In exercising that right, all people should seek to know the truth and vote for what is right. I don't agree with all of his conclusions, but I did enjoy reading his defense. The new edition has a new preface.
review 2: I had high expectations because I've read several AMAZING essays from Chaput, but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It may be my fault but I couldn't discern a clear "intention" in what he was trying to do.
